The Samsung Galaxy S9 price in India has been slashed for the festive season for both the 64GB and 128GB storage variants, while no such price cut has been announced for the 256GB variant. The new Samsung Galaxy S9 price cut will be applicable from October 10th and end on October 31st. With this move, the official Galaxy S9 price in India for the 64GB variant will be reduced by Rs 4,000, from Rs 57,900 to Rs 53,900. Similarly, the 128GB model will now be Rs 5,000 cheaper, making its price Rs 56,900 for the period. It should be pointed out that the smartphone is available at a heavy discount in the ongoing Amazon sale, with the prices slashed to Rs 42,990 and Rs 44,990 for the 64GB and 128GB options, respectively.

To recall, the Samsung Galaxy S9 was launched in India in March this year, and sports a 5.8-inch Infinity Display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio and QHD+ resolution. The IP68-certified phones sport the brand’s signature glass-sandwich design. It is powered by the octa-core Exynos 9810 processor (4 x 2.7GHz + 4 x 1.8GHz), backed by 4GB of RAM.

For optics, the Galaxy S9 sports a single 12MP sensor with dual aperture (f/1.5-2.4), 1.4-micron pixel size, optical image stabilisation, and dual pixel PDAF. There is an 8MP autofocus selfie camera with f/1.7 aperture and 1.22-micron pixel size. On the back is the fingerprint sensor, while a dedicated Bixby button is on the side. The 4G VoLTE-enabled offering is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery, with fast-charging support. Connectivity features on the handset include 4G VoLTE, Samsung DeX support, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C connector, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC. It is available in Lavender Purple, Colar Blue, and Midnight Black colour options.
