Fortnite v6.31 update brings Team Rumble LTM, new weapons

“The new Fortnite update adds respawn to the game, and in Team Rumble limited-time mode, the first team with 100 kills get Victory Royale.”

The latest update of Fortnite has been rolled out, and it brings with itself a new, Team Rumble Limited Time Mode (LTM) game mode. The new LTM replaces the previous, Wild West LTM that had also brought with itself a sling of new weapons that are typical to the American Western’s gunslinging genre. The v6.31 patch notes published by Epic Games on its official website give us insight into what Team Rumble constitutes.

In this new LTM, teams will comprise of 20 players, and the first team to achieve 100 opponent kills, wins the round. To keep the inventory of players intact, every player will respawn five seconds after being killed in this mode. The notes also state that upon being eliminated, players spawn a random ammo type, along with either of 120 wood, 90 stone or 60 metal materials. This mode will only include uncommon weapons or better, making this LTM a rather inclusive one.

Furthermore, the Battle Royale mode also gets epic and legendary-type pump shotguns, while Save The World campaign players will also get to access a new, sharper shovel as well as ‘Rosie’ — the rotating machine gun. Furthermore, the damage inflicted by dynamites have also been increased to prevent players from being able to jump above dynamite blasts without sustaining damage. If you also happen to spot a dynamite with a lit fuse coming your way, you can now grab it and throw it back using the newly-introduced ‘interact’ command.

Update to the gameplay in Fortnite v6.31 will now allow players to place map markers without needing to access the fullscreen map. For players on the mobile tab, this can be accessed from the HUD layout tool. There is also a new, Alchemist Pop-Up Cup with a pretty interesting Storm Surge mode, wherein after a certain time, players having inflicted the least damage are periodically hit with higher damages, in essence eliminating them.

Alongside all of this, the Fortnite v6.31 update brings a host of gameplay, audio and social media bug fixes, as is the norm. The update has already hit devices, and the LTM is now on.
