The Honor 10 Youth Edition has been announced officially by the Huawei-owned brand in its home market. This new smartphone is a stripped-down version of the Honor 10 smartphone that was unveiled in April earlier this year with the flagship Kirin 970 SoC. The Honor 10 Youth Edition has been announced as part of the company’s Singles Day extravaganza but is only up for pre-orders in the country at the moment.

The Honor 10 Youth Edition price has not been revealed at the moment and fans can pre-book the device without paying any sum at the moment. The pre-order period for the handset is from November 13th to November 21st. The company will be hosting a launch event for the smartphone on November 21st in Beijing.

Honor has revealed the key Honor 10 Youth Edition specifications, though it has not revealed all the hardware details. The smartphone will sport a 5.84-inch display and run EMUI 9.0 based on Android Pie. It will be powered by the mid-range HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor. Other features revealed so far include a dual camera setup on the back with 13MP and 2MP sensors, having f/1.8 aperture and Super Night Scene mode for lowlight photos. In the front will be a 24MP selfie camera, while a fingerprint sensor will be on the back. Lastly, the smartphone has been confirmed to come with a 3,320mAh battery with 10W fast-charging capabilities. The teaser image shared by Honor shows the handset will come in a blue and white gradient colour option.

Compared to the original Honor 10, the new Youth Edition model has an inferior processor and camera configuration on the back. The battery capacity is only a little smaller than the original model’s.
