Honor 8C reportedly launching in India next week, said to come in two variants
“The Honor 8C is said to come in 4GB and 6GB RAM options in the Indian market, both with 64GB internal storage”
Honor 8C is making its way to the Indian market as early as next week, according to a new report. The successor to the Honor 7C smartphone was unveiled in China last month. It has a large display, bezel-less design, and Snapdragon 632 SoC. Other highlights of the smartphone include the dual camera setup on the back and beefy 4,000mAh battery.
A report by news agency IANS claims that the Honor 8C India launch event will be held next week. However, the Huawei-owned brand has not yet sent out any invites for a launch event in India so far. It is said to come in two variants, one with 4GB of RAM and the other with 6GB of system memory. Both these variants have 64GB of internal storage. The device launched in China, on the other hand, comes with 4GB of RAM as standard and 32GB and 64GB storage options.
It will be a “mid-price segment device,” the report claims, suggesting the Honor 8C price in India could be along the lines of its price in China. In its home country, Honor released the smartphone at a price of RMB 1,099 (~Rs 11,300) for the 4GB + 32GB variant and RMB 1,399 (~Rs 14,500) for the 4GB + 64GB option.
Honor 8C specifications include a 6.26-inch HD+ (720 x 1,520 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio, octa-core Snapdragon 632 SoC, and microSD card support up to 256GB. On the back of the smartphone is a 13MP + 2MP camera setup with PDAF, HDR, and LED flash, while an 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture is in front. A fingerprint sensor is located on the back of the smartphone. Battery capacity of Honor 8C is 4,000mAh, and it comes in Midnight Black, Aurora Blue, and Platinum Gold colour options.
