Moto G7 alleged press render shows waterdrop notch, thin bezels, and dual rear cameras

“The Moto G7 press renders show the smartphone with a thick chin having the Motorola logo in the front”

Just hours after we brought to you the key Moto G7 specifications, an alleged new press render of the handset has surfaced online. The Moto G7 render image shows the Lenovo-owned brand will be adopting the waterdrop-style notch that has been popularised by OPPO. We can see thin bezels on either sides as well as the top, while the bezels at the bottom are relatively thick. The Moto G7 series will take over from the Moto G6 range in Motorola’s lineup and is not expected to go official till early next year.

The new Moto G7 press renders, leaked by tech website Mr Phone, show that the Moto G7 smartphone will have a bezel-less design that improves upon the look of the Moto G6 models. The small waterdrop notch will be home to the sensors as well as the selfie camera, while there will be Motorola branding at the bottom. On the back, we can see the company’s logo and the dual camera module above it. The rounded corners and curved edges that have been around since the first-gen Moto G models will be retained by the company.

Earlier today, we reported that a Moto G7 variant with model number XT 1965-3 has received certification from the US Federal Communications Commission. The FCC listing for the smartphone shows it will be powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC, backed by 4GB of RAM. It will also have 64GB internal storage, the listing shows. Other details confirmed by the listing include dual rear cameras, dual-band Wi-Fi, and NFC. This is, however, not the variant headed to the Indian market as the local version will carry the model number XT 1965-4.
