Nokia 106 (2018) feature phone with 21-day standby time announced

HMD Global has unveiled the refreshed Nokia 106 feature phone to bring a new design, talk time of 15 hours and standby time of 21 days to the handset. The feature phone also comes with dual-SIM support in international markets now and can store up to 2,000 contacts. The Nokia 106 (2018) feature phone is accompanied by two new colour options for the Nokia 230.

The new Nokia 106 (2018) feature phone has a more ergonomic design and a Dark Grey plastic shell. It has a 1.8-inch display with QQVGA resolution (120 x 160 pixels) and is powered by the MediaTek MTK6261D. There are 4MB of internal storage to save up to 2,000 contacts and 500 SMSes, and 4MB of RAM. Battery capacity of the device is 800mAh, which can be charged using microUSB cable. It measures 111.15 x 49.5 x 14.4mm in size and weighs 70.2 grams.

Along with this, HMD Global Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas announced that the brand is launching two new colour options for the Nokia 230 feature phone. These include Light Grey and Dark Blue, and add to the Light Silver and Dark Silver hues that were available already.

There is no official word yet on the launch of the Nokia 106 (2018) in the Indian market, as well as its local pricing. However, we can expect it to come to the country soon enough, so stay tuned to 91mobiles for all the updates around the feature phone.
