OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple colour option expected to launch soon in India

OnePlus has teased that its 6T (review) smartphone will soon be launched in new Thunder Purple colour globally, including in India. The company unveiled the variant of its latest flagship handset in China a few days ago, and now it is prepping to do the same in other markets as well. OnePlus hasn’t shared the date yet, but we expect the launch of the OnePlus 6T in Thunder Purple colour variant in India soon. Once that happens, the new OnePlus 6T colour variant will join its other siblings – the Midnight Black and Mirror Black.

The launch of the OnePlus 6T’s new Purple hue was evident from leaks spotted earlier. The handset was spotted on the OnePlus official support page, and later its renders were leaked online.

For the uninitiated, the OnePlus 6T smartphone was announced last month, and it later went for sale in India, Europe, and the US. The handset comes with few upgrades from the OnePlus 6, including the water-drop notch display, on-screen fingerprint sensor and a bigger battery. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845, paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/ 256GB non-expandable storage. Other features include a 6.41-inch full HD+ AMOLED display, dual 16MP + 20MP sensors on the rear, and a 16MP shooter on the front for selfies. Out of the box, the smartphone boots the Android 9.0 Pie based Oxygen OS and is powered by a larger 3,700mAh battery.

As for the price, the OnePlus 6T costs Rs 37,999 for the base 6GB + 128GB option and Rs 41,999 for its 8GB + 128GB model. The top-end 8GB + 256GB variant of the handset sets you back to Rs 45,999.
