Realme RMX1833 spotted on Geekbench with Helio P60 SoC; could be Realme 3

Formerly OPPO’s sub-brand, Realme has managed to establish itself as a known name in the Indian budget smartphone segment. The brand has launched Realme 1 (review), Realme 2 (review) and Realme 2 Pro (review), which are some of the revered handsets at the moment. Now, it seems that the phone maker is gearing up to launch the successor to the Realme 2 – Realme 3. 

Realme 3 Geekbench

A mysterious smartphone with model number RMX1833 has been spotted on the popular benchmarking website – Geekbench. Speculations are now rife that this could be the Realme 3 in the making. The smartphone is spotted running Android 8.1 Oreo and is powered by an octa-core 12nm MediaTek Helio P60 processor. Notably, this is the same processor that powered the Realme 1, brand’s first smartphone. The processor is seen accompanied by 4GB of RAM. The processor is much better than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC powering the Realme 2. The handset scored 1,560 in single core test and 5,926 I the multi-core test.

Recently, Realme’s CEO Madhav Sheth announced that the brand will be bringing OPPO’s VOOC fast charging technology to its future phones. However, the report states that the Realme 3 might not have the feature, instead Realme 3 Pro will be the first to feature it. However, that remains to be seen at the moment. Coming to the design, it is being speculated that the Realme 3 will come with a waterdrop notch and will offer higher screen-to-body ratio compared to its predecessor. Moreover, it is being speculated that the smartphone might come with a better dual camera module and a bigger battery.
