Redmi Note 6 Pro (review) will go on sale for the first time in India, just a day after it was launched in the country. This is the shortest gap between the unveiling and release of a product for the company yet. The Redmi Note 6 Pro will be available to purchase via Flipkart as well as Mi.com starting 12pm as part of the Mi Black Friday Sale. Key features of the Redmi Note 6 Pro include dual cameras in both the front and back, larger 6.26-inch display, and 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.

Redmi Note 6 Pro price in India

The Redmi Note 6 Pro price in India is Rs 13,999 for the base 4GB RAM variant. Similarly, the 6GB RAM option is priced at Rs 15,999. These prices are the same as the revised prices for the respective variants of the smartphone’s predecessor, Redmi Note 5 Pro. As for the launch offer, Jio customers will get Rs 2,400 cashback in the form of vouchers from the operator as well as 6TB of additional data on recharges of Rs 198 and Rs 299.

As part of the Mi Black Friday Sale, customers will get a discount of Rs 1,000 on both the variants of Redmi Note 6 Pro. On top of that, HDFC Bank credit and debit cards as well EMI transactions will get another Rs 500 as instant cashback. This means the Redmi Note 6 Pro 4GB and 6GB RAM variants can be purchased for Rs 12,499 and Rs 14,499, respectively.

Redmi Note 6 Pro specifications

Redmi Note 6 Pro has a 6.26-inch display with 1,080 x 2,260 pixel resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio and is powered by Android Oreo-based MIUI 10 software. It has the same Snapdragon 636 SoC as its predecessors and comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM options. There is 64GB of internal storage and up to 256GB microSD card support. Battery capacity of the smartphone is the same as well at 4,000mAh, though there is Quick Charge 3.0 support this time around; however, the fast-charging adapter needs to be purchased separately.

Xiaomi claims to have made major upgrades in the camera department. The smartphone features a combination of 20MP + 2MP shooters in the front for selfies and video calling, with support for face unlock, AI Portrait 2.0, and AI scene detection (12 categories). The Redmi Note 6 Pro camera on the back has 12MP + 5MP sensors with LED flash; the main sensor now has a wider f/1.9 aperture lens. The rear camera has 32 AI-based scene detection, adjustable bokeh and studio lighting, and EIS for video recording.
