“The mysterious smartphones are likely to be entry-level/ affordable offerings from OPPO”
Two unannounced OPPO smartphones recently paid a visit to the Chinese certification site – TENAA. The handsets in the making are expected to be the company’s new affordable Android smartphones. While their actual names are not known yet, the listing reveals that the devices will bear model numbers OPPO PBM30 and OPPO PBT30. Moreover, the phones are said to flaunt beefy batteries and a tall displays.
Talking about their specifications, the OPPO PBM30 and OPPO PBT30 will reportedly share the same hardware. The TENAA listing says that the phones will feature a 6.2-inch HD+ (1,520 x 720p) display and a 1.8GHz octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. The storage should be further expandable using a microSD card. Moving on, a 4,100mAh battery is tipped to fuel the handsets that will come pre-loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo with Color OS on top.
In the camera department, the unknown OPPO phones are reported to boast dual 13MP + 2MP sensors on the rear. The renders of the phones suggest that the cameras will be horizontally-aligned at the top right corner of the back panel with LED flash placed beside. It seems like the phones will not sport a fingerprint sensor whatsoever, but we expect face unlock to be there. Lastly, both the smartphones are expected to be available in Black and Red colour options, and TENAA listing reveals that the devices measure 156.1 x 75.7 x 8.2 mm and weighs 170g.
There’re no details of the price and availability of the smartphones yet. Interestingly, the specs of the OPPO PBM30 and PBT30 matches to that of Realme C1 (review) smartphone, save for the front camera (which is not known) and battery. The latter has been priced in India at Rs 7,999.
