Xiaomi Black Shark all set to launch in Europe on November 16th

“It will compete with the likes of Razer Phone and ASUS ROG”

Black Shark, Xiaomi’s gaming sub-brand is making its way onto European lands. The original Xiaomi Black Shark gaming smartphone will be launching in 28 countries across Europe on November 16th. There’s no information regarding its pricing and the channels through which the company plans to sell its device. But it sure is a big step for Xiaomi as it expands its footsteps to compete with the likes of Razer Phone and ASUS ROG.

The countries where the phone will be launching, as per Xiaomi’s website are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the UK.

Xiaomi Black Shark was first launched in China this year in April for a starting price of CNY 2,999. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 clocked at 2.8GHz coupled with Adreno 630 GPU for graphics processing, which is currently the best solution for high-performance mobile gaming. Coming to the RAM and storage options: you can either get the device with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.1 storage, or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. Black Shark features a 6-inch 2160×1080 IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 60Hz, which is a downside considering the Razer Phone’s 120Hz display.

Nonetheless the smartphone is capable enough to handle heavy-duty gaming for long hours with a 4,000mAh non-removable battery unit. It also comes with QuickCharge 3.0 and a liquid cooling system, which according to the company drops CPU temperatures by roughly 8°C. There’s even an in-built ‘SHARK’ button for special high-performance needs. It’s unknown whether the phone will launch with the same accessories as it did in China but it will sure add to the competition in the ever growing smartphone gaming market.
