The Fitbit Charge 3 fitness band has finally received a release date for the Indian market. It was originally announced in August, and has just landed in India.
As the successor to the Charge 2, it comes with the same form factor but carries subtle refinements that are said to improve overall usability. The Fitbit Charge 3 flaunts a touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and an aluminium body. On the fitness front, the wearable offers improved heart-rate sensor, a swim-proof design, and a SpO2 sensor that can monitors breathing to alert users of allergies, asthma or sleep apnea.

Fitbit Charge 3 price in India and availability
As for the price, the Fitbit Charge 3 will retail for Rs 13,999 in India, Rs 1,000 lower than the price announced back in August. The wearable goes for sale starting January 1st, 2019 and will be available to buy via Reliance Digital, Croma, Helios and other major retailers, both offline and online. Interested folks can buy the device from two colour options: black with a graphite aluminium case and blue-grey with a rose gold aluminium case. Fitbit has also announced a range of accessories priced between Rs 2,990 and Rs 4,490, including a bunch of bands in different materials, colours and finishes. Also on offer is a Special Edition variant of the Fitbit Charge 3 that has been priced at Rs 15,999.

Talking about the Fitbit Charge 3 specifications, it sports an OLED display that the company claims is almost 40 percent larger and brighter than its previous iteration. Thanks to its swim-proof design, you can submerge the band in water up to 50 metres deep. The fitness trackers also supports goal-based exercise modes such as biking, swimming, running, weight training, and yoga. Users can set goals for calories burnt, distance, and duration and check real-time stats on the device.

Moving on, Charge 3’s bpm sensor can now more accurately track users’ heart beats. It can also monitor the sleeping habit with Fitbit Labs Sleep Score beta to let users understand their sleep patterns better. Other features of the fitness accessory include apps like alarms, timer, weather, and calendar; and smartphone notifications alert with a quick reply option to messages. As for the battery, Fitbit claims that Charge 3 could run for 7 days on a single charge.
