Fortnite 7.10 update brings ’14 Days of Fortnite’ event and support for iPad Pro 2018 and more Android phones

Fortnite maker Epic Games has released a new update for Android, iOS, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. The update with version number 7.10 adds 14 days of Fortnite events, such as Close Encounters and Food Fight, to the game. The events start from December 19th from 9 am ET (7:30 pm IST) and ends on January 2nd.

Apart from this, the Fortnite 7.10 update also brings in support for Snapdragon 670- and Snapdragon 710-powered devices such as Nokia 8.1, OPPO R17, and R17 Pro. Even the 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models are now said to support 60fps for responsive, fluid gameplay with new changes.

Highlights of Fortnite v7.10 update

  1. New challenges with 14 days of new and old Fortnite LTMs and unlock rewards
  2. The Fortnite LTMs starts from December 19th and users can log-in every day to find out which modes are available to explore
  3. Large team modes switch every two days and small team modes rotate every 24 hours
  4. Minor tweaks on game’s UI for a better experience, bug fixes, draw instances, emotes, etc.
  5. Support enabled for Samsung Galaxy A9 and a handful of Snapdragon devices

Despite the update coming later than expected, it still misses out on Driftboard that was promised with the Fortnite 7.10. “We know we set the expectation for the Driftboard to release in the coming update,” Epic Games wrote on Reddit. The company says that it has held back the release of the new vehicle as it wasn’t up to the mark.

This is the third update Fortnite has received since the start of Season 7 earlier this month. Prior to the latest Fortnite 7.10, Epic has released an update v7.01 that introduced a new Mythic weapon to the game, the Infinity Blade. Much like Thanos’s Infinity Gauntlet, the Infinity Blade grants its wielder an immense power boost.
