Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Nova 4 to get special editions to commemorate 200 million phones milestone

“The Chinese smartphone maker had claimed earlier that its total shipment for the year 2018 was around 200 million smartphones”

Huawei recently announced in a statement that its total shipment for the year had touched 200 million smartphones. This achievement by the brand was significant as it was barred from selling its smartphones in the US and is a massive improvement over 153 million smartphones Huawei shipped in 2017. Now, He Gang, the president of the company’s smartphone division has announced that the milestone will be commemorated by two new special edition smartphones.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro Nova 4 Special Edition

Gang took to his official Weibo account to announce that Huawei’s flagship device Mate 20 Pro as well as the Nova 4 will be getting the special editions. According to the image shared by the top executive, the Mate 20 Pro will be offered in an Emerald Green hue and come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. Notably, this is the same configuration as the high-end variant of the handset. The Huawei Nova 4, on the other hand, will be treated to a secret red hue with no change in spec sheet. Additionally, both smartphones will be sporting a special gold emblem on the back with “200 million” written inside. These smartphones are slated to go on sale in China from January 1st, however, pricing has not been revealed yet.
