Lenovo Z5 Pro GT with Snapdragon 855, 12GB RAM notches up impressive score on Antutu

A few days back, Lenovo surprised the world when it announced the first commercial smartphone with Snapdragon 855 SoC and 12GB of RAM. The handset is dubbed as Lenovo Z5 Pro GT, and the chipset it employs is based on 7nm process to offer top-notch performance. The real-time difference of the device’s performance is yet to determine, but benchmarking site Antutu claims it’s “the most powerful Android smartphone” at the moment. In fact, the benchmark score of the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT was way ahead than Apple’s latest crop of iPhones.
According to Antutu, the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT with Snapdragon 855 scored 3,68,480, which is much more than the iPhone XS/ XS Max which rock the A12 bionic chip and Huawei Mate 20 Pro. They both managed to score 3,56,501 and 3,09,425 points respectively. Furthermore, the results of the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT were much more drastic when compared with Snapdragon 845-powered devices. The closest to it was Xiaomi’s Black Shark Helo with 3,00,644 points, followed by OnePlus 6T with 2,96,327 points.
If you think that the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT’s 12GB RAM helped it nail the impressive score, Antutu claims that even without the staggering RAM the handset manages to score in 3,60,000 range. Furthermore, the benchmarking site says that the Lenovo Z5 Pro score cannot be compared with iPhones as they run different OS algorithms.

To recall on the specifications of Lenovo Z5 Pro GT, the handset comes with a slider design. The phone features a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. For photography, it employs dual 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel sensors for selfies and dual 16-megapixel + 24-megapixel shooters on the rear. Apart from the 12GB RAM model, the handset also comes in 6GB/ 8GB RAM options. Other features include 128GB/ 256GB/ 512GB storage variants, 3,350mAh battery and Android 9 Pie operating system. The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT will go for sale January 24th 2019 with its price starting from RMB 2,698 (~Rs 27,000).
