The Nokia 8.1 has finally gone on sale in India, marking the end of pre-order period. Nokia 8.1 — the global version of Nokia X7 — went official earlier this month and was brought to the Indian market last week. The smartphone has a 6.18-inch PureDisplay panel, stock Android Pie software, Snapdragon 710 SoC, and Zeiss-branded dual rear cameras. For the moment, only the 4GB + 64GB RAM variant of the Nokia 8.1 will be available for purchase in India.

The Nokia 8.1 price in India has been set as Rs 26,999 for the variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It will be available to purchase online via Amazon.in as well as the official Nokia e-shop and offline via all major large-format stores as well as Nokia-affiliated retail stores. The smartphone will be available in Blue/ Silver and Iron/ Steel colour options. Nokia 8 launch offers include 10 percent cashback on purchases made using HDFC Bank cards, 6-month free screen replacement from Servify, and 1TB additional data by Airtel.
HMD Global has confirmed the smartphone’s 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will be launched in India in January next year, while there is no information regarding the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage option.

Nokia 8.1 specifications include a 6.18-inch screen with PureDisplay tech, a wide notch, full-HD+ resolution (1,080 x 2,280 pixels), and 19:9 aspect ratio and an octa-core Snapdragon 710 SoC. The smartphone has 4GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage, and microSD card support up to 400GB in hybrid configuration.
The Nokia 8.1 cameras on the back have Zeiss-branded 13-megapixel and 12-megapixel sensors with /1.8 aperture, 1.4-micron pixel size, dual-pixel PDAF, OIS, and dual LED flash. The selfie camera has 20-megapixel resolution, f/2.0 aperture, and 0.9-micron pixel size. Nokia 8.1 battery capacity is 3,500mAh, with support for 18W fast-charging and USB Type-C connector.
