OnePlus 5G smartphone with circular camera module leaked in live image
“The next-gen OnePlus smartphone is likely to come with a circular rear camera module”
The OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T smartphones turned out to be a huge success for the Chinese phonemaker OnePlus this year. For the most part of 2018, the handsets lead the premium smartphone segment (at least in India). Now, with 2019 just around the corner, the company seems to have shifted all its focus on the upcoming devices. It has already confirmed the launch of a special 5G smartphone that’ll be different from OnePlus’ current lineup. If you’re wondering how the next-gen OnePlus will look, here’s the first look.
EXCLUSIVE! Here’s your first look at an upcoming OnePlus Device I don’t know much about. This image shows the device in prototype/designing stage and it is not final but this is probably how the device may end up looking. That’s Pete (CEO of OP) in the img and the device itself. pic.twitter.com/Yau9EsgSDy

The image seems to be coming straight from the company’s internal meeting with CEO Pete Lau. As can be seen, the mysterious OnePlus handset’s design is unlike the OnePlus 6/ 6T. The back panel of the device features a circular camera module that seems to be slightly protruded and reminds you of Motorola devices. Apart from the red shade, the prototype of the upcoming handset can also be seen in a white colourway.
It isn’t clear if the OnePlus device in question is a prototype of the 5G model or the regular variant. However, since the company is expected to launch the former sooner than the alleged OnePlus 7, it could most likely be the 5G model. The handset is confirmed to arrive with an all-new design and new branding. The specifications of the offering are vague at the moment, but what we do know is that it’s going to rock the latest Qualcomm 7nm Snapdragon 855 SoC.
That’s all we know so far! We’d advise you to take the report with a pinch of salt as the handset is reportedly in the designing stages, therefore, the final version could potentially look completely different.
