OPPO F19 and F19 Pro to come with 10x hybrid optical zoom according to a recent leak
“OPPO is speculated to showcase the multi-zoom camera feature at the CES 2019 or MWC 2019“
OPPO as a smartphone maker has established six research institutes and four R&D centers around the world. With an extensive focus on innovation, the brand has managed to deliver innovative handset like OPPO Find X. Now, if rumours are to be believed, the handset maker is working on a technology that will bring multi-zoom camera feature to its upcoming smartphones.
According to the recently leaked patent document, OPPO is working on a 10x hybrid optical zoom technology and it’s still in advanced testing stage. The popular tipster, Ice Universe has revealed that OPPO will reveal the relevant technical details and commercial information regarding the technology as soon as possible. According to the tipster, this bit of information comes from an OPPO official. It is being speculated that the brand will showcase the feature at next year’s CES or MWC 2019. Further, it’s believed that the upcoming tech might make its debut on next year’s OPPO F19 and F19 Pro smartphones.
As per the recent leaks, the F19 duo is expected to come with the same triple camera setup like the recently launched R17 Pro. However, no other details of the handsets are known at the moment. More recent rumours suggest that the F19 duo will come flaunting a high screen-to-body ratio and Snapdragon 675 chipset at its core. Apart from this, nothing else is known about the upcoming smartphones.
Notably, OPPO was also the first smartphone maker to showcase the 5X optical zoom for smartphone cameras back in 2017. The technology was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress, which lead us to believe that MWC might again be the choice of platform to unveil the upcoming technology.
