Vodafone introduces Rs 398 prepaid plan with 96.6GB data and unlimited voice calls

Vodafone has announced a new prepaid plan priced at Rs 398 that brings 1.4GB data daily along with unlimited local and STD calling and free unlimited roaming. The latest plan, however, did not include daily free SMSes, unlike other telecom plans.

With the new recharge plan, users will now get a total of 96.6GB data with a validity of 69 days. Notably, this plan is not an open market prepaid plan but a part of a segmented offering from the connection provider. Specifically, the users residing in Mumbai, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, and Punjab will enjoy the benefits of this data pack.

For users in states like Rajasthan, Assam, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, and Haryana, Vodafone offers a Rs 399 prepaid plan that comes with a validity of 70 days. While in the North-east and Delhi region, it offers aRs 396 plan, in Jammu and Kashmir, the identical plan is priced at Rs 399.

It is interesting to know that Vodafone recently introduced a Rs 169 prepaid plan that provides 1GB of data per day along with 100 daily SMSes. This brought the telecom provider close in competition with Reliance Jio’s Rs 149 monthly data plan. Apart from that, Vodafone has also revised its existing prepaid data plan of Rs 199, which earlier offered 1.4GB data daily along with unlimited local and STD voice calls, free roaming calls and 100 free daily SMSes for 28 days. With the revised plan, it now offers an increased 1.5GB data per day, the other benefits remain the same.

The Rs 399 plan has also been revised, with the validity increased from 70 days to 84 days. Earlier it used to offer 1.4GB data daily but with the revised plan, it now offers 1GB data daily.
