OnePlus 7 case leak reiterates triple camera, pop-up mechanism
“It seems almost certain that the next OnePlus phone will feature a mechanised camera module inside the chassis”
As we head towards the end of March, it looks very likely that the OnePlus 7 will feature a pop-up camera and a design similar to the F11 Pro. The first CAD render of the OnePlus 6T (review) successor also emphasized the same thing and now a case leak for the handset once again reiterates a pop-up camera. It’s well known that OnePlus smartphones bear a stark resemblance to the OPPO R series, but as the R19 handset is not coming this year, there is a chance that the upcoming OnePlus offering might bear resemblance to the OPPO F11 Pro, which comes with a hidden selfie shooter.

The case has a pop-up camera cutout on the top left side which is more similar to Vivo’s offerings rather than OPPO. According to the latest leak by a tipster, the cutout there is for the speaker grille, and USB Type-C port but no 3.5mm jack. Another key highlight of the OnePlus 7 is expected to be a triple camera setup. That’s also visible in the elongated cutout on the rear of the case. The exact type of rear sensors is not yet known.

In terms of specifications, things are much easier as OnePlus always uses the best available mobiles SoCs and this year it will most likely be a Snapdragon 855 chip. Though it’s not known whether the 5G version showcased at MWC 2019 will actually be a different variant or not. The company may finally offer more colour choices to users as Black Yellow, Black Purple, and Cyan Grey variants of OnePlus 7 have been reported so far. Reports also suggest a launch could take place around May.
