OPPO Reno to flaunt 93.1 percent screen-to-body ratio and ‘no holes’, says company VP

OPPO’s upcoming flagship device called Reno is said to have a high screen-to-body ratio of 93.1 per cent. Two days ago, on Weibo, Shen Yiren, VP of OPPO has boasted about this impressive feature of this device, which suggests that this device will come with a thin-bezel design. Moreover, in a separate post, he has teased that there will be no holes on the front or the rear of the smartphone. However, as for now, this fact is neither confirmed, nor we can’t be sure what exactly it’s referring to as Weibo and Google Translating feature couldn’t reveal much. 

Going by the previous leaks and teasers, the OPPO Reno will go official on April 10th. The handset is set to feature a Dynamic AMOLED display panel. The handset has also appeared on China’s 3C certification platform three days ago. The 3C listing has confirmed that the phone will come with VOOC fast charging support. Besides this, rumours are rife that the OPPO Reno series will include six variants having a Delux Lite model, a Lamborghini Edition, all with a different processor, RAM, and storage combinations.

Prior to this, Yiren posted two photographs on Weibo that have been clicked by the OPPO Reno. These photographs have highlighted the capability of Reno’s optical configuration, especially the 48MP main lens along with the support for up to 10x hybrid zoom. Apart from that, the device is expected to feature triple rear cameras and will draw power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. The battery is said to be of 4,065mAh capacity and the Lamborghini variant is also rumoured to feature a 50W Super VOOC 4.0 fast charging for the 5,000mAh battery.

Some reports also suggest that the OPPO Reno 5G variant will be equipped with the Snapdragon X50 modem. All these speculations make the device worth watching out for, when it goes official in April.
