Airtel Rs 597 recharge with 10GB data and 168-day validity announced for feature phones
“The Rs 597 Airtel recharge is dubbed as Mera Naya Feature Phone recharge, with validity and benefits varying on telecom circles”
Airtel has announced a new prepaid pack of Rs 597 for feature phones in India. The recharge is being dubbed as Mera Naya Feature Phone pack and offers long-term validity, unlimited voice calls, and data benefits. The Rs 597 Airtel recharge will offer free voice calls (STD and local) and 10GB of data to new feature phone customers. The 10GB data is said to work only on non-4G phones and 300 SMSes valid for 28 days.

As reported by TelecomTalk, Airtel’s new Rs 597 pack will vary depending on the region. Owners of a 4G or non-4G feature phone, which is older than 30 days, in select circles of Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa, UP-east, UP-west, Gujrat, Maharashtra (excluding Mumbai), Haryana and Madhya Pradesh will reportedly get unlimited local and STD calls with 10GB data for 140 days instead of 168 days. There are also 300 free SMSes, which will again be renewed after 28 days.
For circles outside the above-mentioned regions, the Rs 597 pack will offer the same benefits, including 10GB data and 300 SMSes, but for a reduced validity of 112 days. Airtel, meanwhile, has a similar recharge for 4G smartphone users as well. It also costs Rs 597 and offers voice calls with no FUP limit, 10GB data at up to 4G speed, and 100 SMS per day. The pack basically targets users that are more into voice calls and SMS benefits, rather than the high-speed cellular data.
