[Exclusive] Samsung Galaxy M40 to flaunt 32-megapixel primary rear camera and 16MP selfie snapper

Earlier today, Samsung announced that it will be launching the Galaxy M40 smartphone in India on June 11th at 6 pm. Through the teasers, the South Korean tech giant has already revealed that the phone will arrive with a punch-hole display, a triple camera setup at the rear, and a Snapdragon 6xx series processor. Now, we have some details regarding the camera specs of the upcoming smartphone.

In a conversation with 91mobiles, Asim Warsi, Senior Vice President, Smartphone Business India, has revealed that the Galaxy M40 will have a 32-megapixel primary camera at the back. For selfies, the handset will be equipped with a 16-megapixel sensor. Unfortunately, the company executive refrained to reveal any other details regarding the upcoming Galaxy M series smartphone. However, we expect it to be a mid-range offering priced around Rs 20,000.
According to the earlier reports, the Samsung Galaxy M40 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, aided by Adreno 612 graphics. The phone is said to come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and boot Android 9 Pie out of the box with the brand’s One UI on top. The smartphone is rumoured to feature a beefy 5,000mAh battery with support for fast charging tech. Other details of the handset are under the curtain at the moment.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 will arrive three months after the Galaxy M30’s launch in the country. The latter comes in two RAM variants – 4GB and 6GB, which are available for Rs 14,990 and Rs 17,990 respectively.
