Google Pixel 4 screen protector showcases hole-punch design with dual selfie cameras
“Google Pixel 4 series is expected to come with hole-punch design, front-firing stereo speakers and run on Android Q”
Google’s Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are due to come out sometime later in the year. Early rumours suggest the handsets might bear Coral and Flame Angelfish codenames and that both the flagships could rock Galaxy S10 like hole-punch design. Now, months ahead of the launch, noted accessory maker Skinomi had designed a screen protector specifically for the Google Pixel 4. While the punch-hole design showcases cutout that could fit dual selfie snappers, leaks in the past suggest that only Pixel 4 XL would rock dual front cameras, thus contradicting earlier reports.
Furthermore, as with most 2019 flagships, the Google Pixel 4 series could also boast ultra-slim bezels. Moreover, the screen guard also includes cut-outs on the top and bottom for stereo speakers, suggesting that Google might be retaining the most liked feature of the Pixel phones. The speaker grills are cleverly placed towards the edge of the frame to avoid any extra space. Since these are based on early rumours and leaks, Google might change things down the road before the final product makes its way.
To recall, Jon Prosser, a reliable source for leaks shared that the upcoming Google 4 and Google 4 XL might ditch the physical buttons in lieu of capacitive buttons. However, the new render does show the power button on the side. Separately, the Pixel 4 handsets have also been tipped to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Unfortunately, the leaks do not reveal if the brand will opt for an optical fingerprint sensor or an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Other notable features reportedly include IP68 water and dust resistance rating, a larger battery paired with faster charging. According to a commit in the Android Open Source Project Gerrit, Google is adding property values in the framework and Telephony service to detect if a device has suitable hardware support for multi-SIM functionality. The commit also confirms that this year’s flagship from the brand would have dual-SIM functionality.
