Microsoft Pro IntelliMouse for gamers launched, priced at $60

“The Pro IntelliMouse flaunts a Pixart sensor, which has a headline tracking speed of 400-inches per second”

Microsoft has just introduced the Pro IntelliMouse, the successor to the 2017’s popular IntelliMouse Explorer. The Redmond-based tech giant’s new offering is targeted at gamers. The brand’s new mouse comes with the predecessor’s classic design, but flaunts several gamer-friendly features. The latest device has a new sensor, improved key actuation, customisable buttons, textured gradient finish, and a solitary RGB light.

The Microsoft Pro IntelliMouse has been equipped with a Pixart 3389 sensor, making it the first IntelliMouse to not utilise a Microsoft-designed sensor. The Pixart sensor is capable of sensing everything from the smallest flicks to the largest gestures with greater speed, claims Microsoft. The sensor has a headline tracking speed of 400-inches per second. The mouse has a report rate of 1,000 reports per second, which can be customised through the Windows Mouse and Keyboard Center (MKC).

As for the other specs, the Microsoft Pro IntelliMouse comes with a braided cable for extra durability. The mouse has five buttons and out of them, three can be customised by the users. You can change the colour of the taillight of the mouse as well. The device is compatible with notebooks powered by Windows 10 Pro, Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 S, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, and Windows 7. The company notes that the button customisation isn’t supported on Windows 10 S.

Talking about the pricing, the Microsoft Pro IntelliMouse has been priced at $59.99 (~Rs 4,200). The gaming accessory is available on Microsoft’s e-store in Shadow Black and Shadow White colour variants.
