Samsung Galaxy S10 new software update brings bug fixes introduced by last update

“The new Galaxy S10 software update comes with a host of improvements in the camera, connectivity, and performance departments”

Just a few days ago, Samsung released a new software update for the Galaxy S10 series flagship phones. However, the company had to pull the new firmware as dozens of users claimed about third-party app freezes and crashes after the said update. Now, the South Korean tech giant has re-released that update after a few modifications. The new firmware version is XXU1ASE6, while the earlier one was XXU1ASE5.

According to the official changelog, the new Samsung Galaxy S10 update is 127.11MB in size and brings the security patch for the month of May. The new firmware improves the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as stability. The camera app has also received improvements in the stability section. Furthermore, the update brings device stability improvements, general bug fixes, and performance enhancements.

The changelog for the new software does not mention the new features that were introduced in the earlier firmware, which was later pulled. The previous update mentioned improved camera performance in low-light situations and features like Night Mode pictures with the ultra-wide camera, and ability to take panorama photos with the primary camera. The update also added the functionality to click ‘Live Focus’ photos utilising either the ultra-wide angle camera or the telephoto lens.

The latest firmware is said to be available for all the new Galaxy S series models, including the Galaxy S10 (review), Galaxy S10+ (review) and S10e (review). You can check if the new update is available for your phone by going to the Settings app, tapping Software update, and selecting the Download and Install option.
