Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 cases said to ship in 15 days, launch expected in August
“The Nokia 6.2 smartphone is supposedly the global variant of the Nokia X71 and the successor to the Nokia 6.1 from last year”
Recently, the Nokia 6.2/ 7.2, was spotted on the BIS certification site in India. When a device shows up on the BIS website, it usually means that its launch date is near. There have been rumours that HMD Global would launch the Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 in August. Now, a case maker has revealed shipping dates of the official cases for these devices, and they are ready to roll out in 15 days. This confirms that Nokia would be definitely launching the Nokia 6.2/ 7.2 phones in August in India and other regions.
According to NokiaPowerUser, a distributer of mobile cases has update the shipping dates for official Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 case. The distributer has updated the delivery date for the clear case CC-162-172, which allegedly belongs to the new Nokia phones. The rumours and leaks state that both the handsets will share a similar rear design, which should allow them to share cases, if the sizes are the same. The Nokia 7.2 is supposed to be a slightly more improved variant of the 6.2.
We have seen leaked renders of the Nokia 7.2, which show it will come with a circular rear camera setup with triple-sensors. If both phones share a similar back design and cases, then both of the phones should have a circular rear camera setup. However, the Nokia 6.2 is said to be the global variant of the Nokia X71. The X71 has a vertical camera layout with three sensors. Therefore, we recommend that you take this with a pinch of salt and wait for an official confirmation.
Rumours suggest that the Nokia 6.2 will feature a punch-hole 6-inch FHD+ display. It is expected to use the Snapdragon 660 processor, 6GB RAM, and a 3,300mAh battery. The Nokia 7.2, on the other hand, will supposedly feature a waterdrop notch at the front. It is also expected to come with the Snapdragon 660 chipset and a slightly larger 3,500mAh battery. Both the phones could also feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. We won’t have to wait much longer to know all the details and pricing.
