The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max was supposed to go on its first-ever sale on Wednesday, March 25th. But the company has now delayed to launch to a later date, which is yet to be announced. However, the sale of the Redmi Note 9 Pro, which is supposed to happen on Tuesday, March 24th at 12 PM, will take place as scheduled. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max was launched with specifications like a 64MP quad camera setup, Snapdragon 720G and 33W fast charging support, among other things.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max price in India starts at Rs 14,999 for the base model with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It also comes in 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants that are priced at Rs 16,999 and Rs 18,999, respectively. The smartphone was supposed to go on sale on March 25th Mi.com, Amazon.in, Mi Home stores, and Mi Studio outlets across India. The company will likely announce the next sale date of the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max after March 31st, which is when state lockdowns are expected to end. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 9 Pro, whose price starts at Rs 12,999, will go on sale yet again in India later today at 12 PM.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max specifications

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2,400p) punch-hole display and a 3D curved Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and back. The smartphone comes in Black, Aurora Blue, and Glacier White colour options. It is powered by the 2.3GHz Snapdragon 720G paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Other key Redmi Note 9 Pro Max specifications include a 64MP AI quad camera setup that includes a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, 5MP macro lens and 2MP depth sensor. The phone also touts a 32MP selfie camera up front. The handset houses a 5,020mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. It runs on Android 10-based MIUI 11 out of the box.
