Realme V5 may come with this MediaTek chipset; new launch date revealed
Realme V5 launch in China has been postponed to August 3rd, a new teaser poster has confirmed. The handset was previously expected to be announced on July 27th. Notably, Realme V5 specifications have been listed on a Chinese e-commerce website Tmall. As per the website, the handset will be powered by the mid-range MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC, a 6.5-inch FHD+ display, 48MP quad rear cameras, and up to 8GB RAM, which are in line with previous leaks and rumours about the Realme V5.
The Realme V5 design, as confirmed by the company previously, will include quad cameras in a rectangular module at the back, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a punch-hole display up front. The Tmall database reveals that the handset will sport a 6.5-inch FHD+ display, which will most likely be of LCD variety. The phone will feature dual-SIM support with 5G connectivity thanks to the MediaTek Dimesity 720 SoC. The phone may come with 6GB and 8GB RAM options with 128GB storage – rumours for 256GB storage variant are also doing the rounds. The storage will most likely be user-expandable using a microSD card.
The rear-facing quad camera setup of the phone is expected to feature a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary lens, and a couple of 2MP sensors. Up front, the Realme V5 may sport a 16MP snapper for selfies and video chats. Software-wise, the handset is said to run Android 10-based Realme UI out of the box. The Realme phone will allegedly house a 4,900mAh battery and support 30W fast charging, according to China’s 3C listing. The phone may also feature connectivity options such as Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, and USB Type-C. Apart from the silver colour option that you see in the images, the Realme V5 may also come in blue and black hues.
