Redmi 9 India launch today: how to watch livestream, expected price and specifications
Redmi 9 is all set to launch in India today as the newest entry to Xiaomi’s ‘9’ series that already includes the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9, and Redmi 9 Prime. The Redmi 9 is widely expected to be an entry-level smartphone that will be more affordable than the Redmi 9 Prime. Xiaomi will be announcing the device at 12 PM IST and will be live-streamed for everyone to watch. The Redmi 9 is expected to be a rebranded Redmi 9C in terms of design and some of the hardware.

Redmi 9 specifications and price (expected)
Redmi 9 will come with a waterdrop display and a unibody back panel that will include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. According to past leaks, the Redmi 9 will feature a 6.53-inch HD+ display, MediaTek Helio G35 chipset with up to 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, 13MP AI dual cameras, and a 5MP selfie camera. The phone is said to house a 5,000mAh battery and support 10W charging.
Redmi 9 price in India will be announced during the launch event. Considering the entry-level specifications, the Redmi 9 is expected to be priced between Rs 8,000 to Rs 9,000 in the country. The smartphone will go on sale on Amazon following the launch.
