Readers’ vote! Realme GT Master Edition outshines the Nord CE 5G and Xiaomi Mi 10i in camera comparison!
The affordable segment is replete with camera-centric phones and as such, buyers with a penchant for photography are spoilt for choices. We recently compared three such devices namely Xiaomi’s Mi 10i (review), OnePlus’ Nord CE 5G (review), and Realme’s GT Master Edition (review) against one another and implored our readers to vote for the best photo shot from the trio across different scenarios. Well, the results are in so without any further ado, let’s take a look at the winners and the losers from our user choice camera comparison!
HDR Off
The Realme GT Master Edition fought tooth and nail with the Mi 10i, but managed to snag the lead in our first comparison shot. To wit, the device grabbed 39 percent of the total votes, with the Mi 10i running a close second with 37.3 percent of the polls. The handset’s victory can be accredited to its colour science and even with the HDR turned off, the device still managed to flush the composition with peppy, vibrant hues. Be it the blue colour of the sky, or the green hue of the leaves, the GT Master Edition’s HDR Off shot was Instagram-ready from the get-go.
HDR On
With HDR turned on, all phones output photos with slightly saturated hues. That said, Realme’s over-the-top post processing stood out and appeased our readers the most, allowing the phone to win this bout by amassing 42.3 percent of the total votes.
Portrait shot
Realme continues its onslaught over the Xiaomi Mi 10i and the OnePlus Nord CE 5G by securing a commanding win in our next comparison photo. Here, the handset’s portrait shot impressed our readers the most and the device accumulated 41.8 percent of the total votes. To that note, the phone’s portrait image, albeit has lesser facial details, had the cleanest blur effect.
Lowlight
Lowlight with Night mode
Unsurprisingly, the Xiaomi Mi 10i yielded a more pleasing photo with the night mode enabled too. In fact, the handset managed to keep a lid on lens flaring better and even brought out the green in the leaves, as well as the shadows falling on the buildings clearly. The handset won the round with over 64 percent of the votes.
Selfie
A smartphone’s selfie camera no longer plays second fiddle to its main sensor. In fact, the pandemic has put even greater emphasis on a phone’s front-facing snapper, seeing how a lot of folks use their phones to take video calls, etc. So, how do our contenders perform in this scenario? Well, per our readers, the Realme GT Master Edition snaps the best-looking selfies of the lot and the handset managed to win this bout by amassing 42.8 percent of the total votes.
Lowlight Selfie
The Xiaomi Mi 10i’s selfie prowess impressed our readers the most for when you might not have the sun by your side. As is evident from the sample photos, the handset managed to put forth a well-lit selfie with ample facial details and consequently, won this round with over 69 percent of the votes.
Despite being over a couple months old, the Xiaomi Mi 10i is still a fairly capable shooter. That said, Realme has undoubtedly stirred things up in the mid-range segment with the launch of the GT Master Edition, which managed to impress our readers the most in daylight situations.
