WhatsApp updated its group member capacity limit on June 10th. Now, users can add up to 512 members in a single WhatsApp group chart, while previously it was limited to 256 members. WhatsApp announced the larger group capacity feature a couple of months ago, along with up to a 2GB file sharing limit and emoji reactions feature. WhatsApp recently rolled out the larger file size and emoji reactions features. And now, the popular messaging app has released the 512 participants in a group chat feature. WhatsApp group members limit increased
The feature is now available on WhatsApp version 2.22.11.75 for iOS and version 2.22.12.77 for Android. This means that users with this WhatsApp version on their respected platform can now add up to 512 members to a group chat. As mentioned earlier, it was previously limited to 256 members. While this might seem a huge number of members for a group, it is nowhere near to Telegram’s 200,000 members limit in a single group chat.
To get the latest 512 members group chat feature, make sure you’re using the latest version of WhatsApp for iOS or Android on your Google Play Store or App Store. To check if the feature is available for you, simply create a group and see how many member options you get.
