PTron India have launched a new and what they call ‘unique’ budget TWS earbuds in India, called the PTron Bassbuds Nyx TWS. However, at first glance, the Ptron buds’ striking similarity to the 2021 Nothing Ear (1) is unmissable. While the Nothing Ear (1) buds price is Rs 6,999, the new PTron Bassbuds Nyx have been priced at Rs 999 as a launch offer but their MRP is Rs 1,299. The PTron Bassbuds Nyx offer features such as 10mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, touch controls, a battery life of nine hours, and IPX4 weatherproof certification.

The PTron Bassbuds Nyx TWS earbuds have been launched in India for an introductory price of Rs 999 and can be purchased from Amazon. The company suggests that the launch price is temporary and prices could revert back to its original sticker price of Rs 1,299 once the initial stocks get exhausted.

PTron Bassbuds Nyx TWS specifications

The PTron Bassbuds Nyx TWS adopts a ‘unique’ transparent charging case design with a built-in circular display that shows battery percentage. However, to the untrained eye, the PTron Bassbuds Nyx TWS mimics design cues on the more expensive Nothing Ear (1). The Nothing Ear(1) originally brought forward the concept of having a transparent charging case as well as translucent earbuds that could allow users to look into the device’s internals. 

The transparent charging case extends the 9 hours of battery life on the earbuds by up to 32 hours of listening. The charging case juices up via a Type C connector and PTron claims that it can be charged in just 1 hour. 

The earbuds within are ergonomically designed with silicon tips and feature a touch panel that supports touch controls for answering/rejecting calls, volume control, and play/pause music. The earbuds play host to 10mm drivers for delivering audio and a dual microphone setup for picking up voice. The PTron Bassbuds Nyx TWS also comes with Movie Mode for a more immersive audio experience while consuming content. The PTron Bassbuds Nyx TWS features Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity with a claimed low latency figure of 50ms and 1 step pairing feature. 

The PTron Bassbuds Nyx TWS is packaged into an IPX4-certified weatherproof body.
