OnePlus Nord 3 camera specs revealed ahead of launch next week

OnePlus is launching the Nord 3, Nord CE 3 and Nord Buds 2r in India on July 5th. The new smartphones are part of OnePlus’ mid-range collection. OnePlus has been teasing its upcoming phones, and it has now revealed the camera details of the Nord 3. The company says that although the Nord 3 is a mid-range phone, its camera capabilities will be flagship level.

OnePlus Nord 3 camera

• OnePlus Nord 3 will house a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS). This is the same camera that’s available on the flagship OnePlus 11 smartphone.
• The company hasn’t revealed though, if the Nord 3 will also come with the Hasselblad branding.
• It has said that the phone will be equipped with OnePlus’s proprietary photography algorithms that are available on the OnePlus 11 as well.
• As for the remaining sensors, OnePlus hasn’t revealed those yet. It will be a triple camera setup though, and a punch-hole selfie camera. 

OnePlus Nord 3 design

OnePlus has revealed that the Nord 3 will come in two colour options of ‘Tempest Gray’ and ‘Misty Green’. In terms of design, it looks the same as the Nord 2 series with the flat edges and circular camera module. The Nord 3 also has a flat display with no plastic frame. It will feature the alert slider with the volume rocker and power button on the left.

OnePlus Nord 3 specifications (expected)

• Display: OnePlus Nord 3 is expected to feature a 6.74-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
• Processor: The smartphone could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset.
• Cameras: In addition to the 50MP primary sensor, OnePlus Nord 3 could come with an 8MP sensor and a 2MP sensor. For selfies, the smartphone is said to house a 16MP front camera. 
• RAM and storage: The smartphone is expected to launch with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The storage was confirmed by the brand earlier.
• Battery: OnePlus Nord 3 could pack a 5,000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging technology. 
• Software: On the software front, the Nord 3 will most likely launch with OxygenOS 13.1 based on Android 13.
