Mobiistar CQ Dual and XQ Dual launched for Rs 4,999 and Rs 7,999 respectively

“The Vietnamese handset maker Mobiistar forays in India with a couple of budget smartphones”

Flipkart announced a long term strategic partnership with the leading Vietnamese handset maker Mobiistar, earlier this month. The collaboration was expected to launch Selfie Star series of smartphones in India, which has been claimed to bring a perfect balance between imaging and performance by the company. Now, as expected, the handset maker has gone ahead and launched two new smartphones, called XQ Dual and CQ Dual, in the country.

Speaking of the more affordable option out of the two, the Mobiistar CQ Dual comes with a 5-inch display that offers a screen resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. There is a layer of 2.75D curved glass on top of the display. In the performance department, the smartphone features a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, ticking at its core. The processor is backed by 2GB RAM and 16GB built-in storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. As for the cameras, there is an 8MP rear camera and 13MP front snapper with Face Beauty mode. The handset boots Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box and is powered by a 3,020mAh battery.

Coming to the Mobiistar XQ Dual, the handset comes with a 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution and Asahi Dragontrail layer on top for protection. At the handset’s core, is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor backed by 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage, which is also expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. There is a 13MP rear camera accompanied by dual-tone LED flash and a 13MP + 8MP module on the front with dedicated flash. The handset is powered by a 3,000mAh battery. The remaining features of the smartphone are same as that of the CQ Dual.

Mobiistar is offering both smartphones in two hues Gold and Black. The CQ Dual and XQ Dual are exclusive to Flipkart and will cost Rs 4,999 and Rs 7,999, respectively. They will go on sale in India starting May 30th. As part of the launch offer, Reliance Jio users will get an instant cashback of Rs 2,200 on recharge packs worth Rs 198 and Rs 299.
