TECNO Camon iCLICK with 6-inch 18:9 display and 20MP selfie camera launched for Rs 13,999

TECNO Mobile has expanded its series of budget smartphones in India with the launch of the Camon iCLICK today. The phone comes as a selfie-centric offering with a beefy battery in the sub-Rs 15k segment. The smartphones is a successor to the Camon i, which was launched in the country in January this year.

The TECNO Camon iCLICK sports a premium metallic body with a 2.5D contoured glass at the rear. The handset features a 6-inch HD+ display bearing a screen-to-body ratio of 83.9 percent. The device gets a 20-megapixel f/2.0 selfie snapper with a dual-LED flash unit. At the rear, there’s a 16-megapixel shooter with f/1.8 aperture and a quad-LED flash unit. The smartphone also comes with AI capabilities such as auto scene detection, which allows it to recognise the scene being captured and deliver better output. It can also enable software-based bokeh effect. 

The Camon iCLICK is powered by a 2.0GHz 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio P23 processor. The chipset is further supported by 4GB of RAM. The storage capacity on board is 64GB, which can be increased further by inserting a microSD card. Software-wise, the handset boots HiOS based on Android 8.1 Oreo. For connectivity, the handset gets dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. A beefy 3,750mAh battery keeps the phone running. The device also comes with a fingerprint sensor and the face unlock capability.

The TECNO Camon iCLICK has been priced competitively at Rs 13,999. The phone comes in Midnight Black and Champagne Gold hues, and will be available via major brick and mortar stores across the country. The brand has also partnered with Vodafone to offer cashback offers of up to Rs 2,200 on the purchase of the smartphone along with the free subscription to Vodafone Play for three months.
