Airtel now offers 2GB data with its Rs 99 plan along with SMS and calling benefits

Airtel recently revamped its Rs 149 prepaid plan, which now offers 2GB of 4G data per day for 28 days, instead of the 1GB data per day. The leading telecom operator introduced the pack to take on Reliance Jio’s Rs 149 tariff. Now, the brand is going up against yet another pack from the rival telco by revising its Rs 99 prepaid plan.

As part of the revised tariff, Airtel will now offer 2GB 4G data as compared to 1GB data earlier. That means, users will be able to avail 56GB data in total over the entire duration. The validity of the new plan remains the same i.e. 28 days. The subscribers of Rs 99 plan are entitled to a 100 SMS per day with the new plan. The pack also offers unlimited voice calls across networks, even while roaming. 

In comparison, the Rs 98 pack from Jio offers the same amount of data and unlimited voice calls. However, the number of SMSes is limited to just 300 for the entire 28 days.
