Samsung Gear S4 will allegedly come with bigger battery and better chipset
“Samsung is speculated to launch the Gear S4 alongside the Galaxy Note 9 in August”
There have been a lot of leaks and rumours regarding Samsung’s upcoming flagship – the Galaxy Note 9. We recently showcased the design of the smartphone in an exclusive 3D renders and 360-degree video. Speculations are rife that the brand might go ahead and launch the smartphone in the month of August and if the rumours are to be believed, the company might also unveil the Gear S4 alongside.
The new report claims that the South Korean giant is opting for a new Panel Level Packaging (PLP) manufacturing process for the chipset which will be used in the Gear S4. The process allegedly improves the way the chipset is integrated into the motherboard. As per the reports, the PLP technology will allow the brand to cram more hardware onto the motherboard while saving manufacturing costs at the same time. According to a known leakster IceUniverse, Samsung might use the extra space on the smartwatch to pack in a bigger battery than its predecessor.
If the previous reports are to be believed, we can expect the Samsung Gear S4 to be launched on August 9th. As always, we will update you with the launch date and other relevant information as and when they emerge, so stay tuned to our blog.
