We already know that the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 flagship will come with a dual camera module on the rear panel and will have the fingerprint scanner mounted just below it. The latest leak shared by Ice Universe shows the exact same positioning of the biometrics module on the smartphone. However, the alleged protective case shows the presence of an extra button on the left edge along with the volume and Bixby buttons. The new button has been placed at the lower half, indicating that it might be the camera shutter button. If indeed it is the camera shutter button, it is a welcome addition.
Coming to the rumoured specifications of the upcoming flagship, it is expected to have an 18.5:9 display with QHD+ resolution. As for the performance, the Galaxy Note 9 is expected to be powered by either Samsung Exynos 9810 or Snapdragon 845 chipset depending upon the region. The reports suggest that the processor will be mated to 6GB RAM and up to 256GB of native storage. It is being speculated that the smartphone will come with the same dual-aperture camera module as Samsung Galaxy S9+ (review). Other speculated features include a re-designed Crown UX interface and a bigger 3,850mAh battery.
If the reports are to be believed, Samsung is likely to announce the upcoming flagship on August 9th. We will bring you more updates as the smartphone goes official, so stay tuned.
