Alleged iPhone SE 2 screen protector with notch display leaked; tipped to launch at WWDC
“The leaked image leads to speculations that the company might announce the iPhone SE 2 as soon as next week at WWDC”
The iPhone SE 2 has been leaked for months now. While there’s no official confirmation whether the Cupertino-based company is even working on a successor to the iPhone SE, the alleged handset has appeared in CAD renders, live video, and a 360-degree video. Now, an alleged live image of the screen protector for the iPhone SE 2 has surfaced online, which suggests that the smartphone will feature a display notch just like the earlier leaks indicated.

In the images shared by Twitter user @SonnyDickson, we can see the display protector of the alleged iPhone SE 2 besides the screen protector for the iPhone X. Considering that the notch on the screen protector for alleged iPhone SE 2 features a much smaller notch in comparison to the one for iPhone X, it will be safe to assume that the handset might not feature TrueDepth sensor array and will feature just the front camera and other basic sensors and microphone.
Interestingly, popular tipster Ben Geskin has also shared some contract-based material on Twitter that suggests a similar design (although with a slightly larger notch) for the iPhone SE 2. In the pictures, we can see that the handset’s availability has been mentioned as June 15th. This leads to the speculations that the company might announce the iPhone SE 2 at WWDC next week.

To recall on the leaked specifications, the Apple iPhone SE 2 is expected to sport a compact display with size between 4 to 4.2-inches. The phone is expected to be powered by a quad-core Apple A10 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The handset is expected to come in 32GB and 128GB storage variants, and will likely run the latest iOS version. The budget-oriented smartphone is expected to house a 1,700mAh battery to keep the things running.
As all these bits are based on leaks and rumours, we will advise you to take them with a pinch of salt. If the company indeed announces the handset at WWDC, we will bring you all the official details, so stay tuned.
