Honor 7X gets Android Oreo and Rs 1,000 price cut in India
“The Honor 7X is a mid-range offering with a Kirin 659 SoC and up to 4GB of RAM”
Last year Honor launched the Honor 7X (review) smartphone in India. The phone arrived as a budget offering with an all-screen front, a dual primary camera setup at the rear, and a back-mounted fingerprint sensor. Now today, the company has announced that it has rolled out an Android Oreo update for the Honor 7X, which has brought a couple of new features for the phone. In addition, there’s a price drop of Rs 1,000 on the handset in the country.
Talking about the price drop first, the Honor 7X’s 32GB variant is now available for Rs 11,999, while the 64GB model is retailing for Rs 14,999. That’s Rs 1,000 down on both the models from the launch price. Talking about the software update, it has brought several new features to the Honor 7X. Some of these include face unlock, gaming mode, power saving mode, smart mode, uninterrupted gaming, ride mode, AR Lens feature, and a shortcut to Paytm.
For those unaware, the Honor 7X is a mid-range offering with an all-metal unibody design, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a dual primary camera setup. The device flaunts a 5.93-inch full HD+ 18:9 display, and is fuelled by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC. The dual camera setup at the back includes a 16MP main sensor, aided by a 2MP snapper. The other features include an 8MP front camera, 4G LTE, VoLTE, and a 3,340mAh battery with fast charging capabilities.
