Samsung Galaxy J8 with 6-inch SAMOLED Infinity Display to go on sale in India on June 28th

Last month, Samsung launched the Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J8 smartphones in India. The phones arrived as the first Galaxy J series smartphones to flaunt edge-to-edge Infinity Displays. The Galaxy J6 has been available in India since last month. Now, the company is all set to start selling the Galaxy J8 in the country. The phone will be available in India cross channels starting June 28th.

To recap the specs, the Samsung Galaxy J8 sports a metal unibody design, and comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock capability. The phone features a 6-inch Super AMOLED HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Powering the handset is a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, aided by 4GB of RAM. The storage capacity on board is 64GB, which can be further increased by inserting a microSD card.

The Galaxy J8 features a 16-megapixel primary snapper at the rear, aided by a 5-megapixel secondary shooter. For selfies, the handset is fitted with an 8-megapixel snapper with an LED flash unit. The connectivity features include dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and A-GPS. Software-wise, the handset boots Android Oreo out of the box. A 3,500mAh battery keeps the whole show running.

The Samsung Galaxy J8 has been priced at Rs 18,990. The phone will be available in three hues – black, black, and gold.
