Samsung Galaxy S10 to reportedly feature triple rear cameras

“As per analysts, Samsung is facing a lower-than-expected demand for Galaxy S9 models”

While Samsung is yet to launch Galaxy Note 9 for the year, the leaks and rumours regarding the next year’s Galaxy S10 seem to be on the full throttle right now. The Galaxy S10 has already been rumoured to come with an under-display fingerprint sensor as well as a 3D camera and now one more piece of rumour has been leaked about the handset. As per a new report from South Korea, Samsung might introduce a triple camera setup, much like the one present on the Huawei P20 Pro (review), on next year’s flagship model.

Samsung Galaxy S9 review22Quoting Kim Dong-won, an analyst from KB Securities, The Investor says that Samsung is currently facing a lower-than-expected demand for Galaxy S9 models and considering to introduce a triple camera setup as well as 3D sensor on Galaxy S10 next year to “reinvigorate its smartphone business.” The analyst also mentioned that the iPhone X Plus, which is expected to be most premium offering from Apple, will sport three rear cameras at the back.

The introduction of three rear cameras can help the 10th-generation Galaxy S flagship to capture better images and the 3D sensor can provide AR capabilities as well as enable the smartphone to capture content in 3D. An earlier report suggested that the 3D sensor for the handset is being designed by Israel-based Mantis Vision.

Huawei p20 pro camerasAs per the information leaked earlier, Samsung has already finalised the design of the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+. The Galaxy S10 has been tipped to feature a 5.8-inch screen, while the Galaxy S10 Plus is expected to offer a larger 6.3-inch display. Both handsets will reportedly be inheriting the nearly bezel-less design and Infinity Displays from their respective predecessors.

At this point, there is no way to confirm the authenticity of this information and as the official launch is several months away, the company can choose to include or drop many features on the handset along the way. Thereby, we would like to advise you to take these leaks with a grain of salt.
