Samsung’s Android Go to allegedly offer a 5-inch Super AMOLED display and 1GB of RAM

Several reports in the past few days have suggested that Samsung is working on its first Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphone. The company is reportedly testing the device in several markets across Europe, Latin America, and Asia. In April, the phone was purportedly spotted on the benchmarking website Geekbench. Now, alleged specifications of Samsung’s alleged first Android Go smartphone have leaked.
As per the specs sheet, Samsung’s first Android Go smartphone could carry the model number J260F. The phone is said to feature a 5-inch Super AMOLED display of unknown resolution. The device is rumoured to be powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 7570 processor. The handset could come with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The camera department is said to include an 8MP rear snapper and a 5MP front shooter. A 2,600mAh battery is rumoured to power the phone.
The Samsung J260F was recently also spotted in a trademark application with the Korean Intellectual Property Office. The company is expected to launch the device in the near future, so stay tuned for regular updates.
