Samsung’s next Galaxy On series smartphone to come with Infinity Display

South Korean handset maker Samsung recently launched its first Galaxy J-series smartphones with Infinity Displays – the Galaxy J6 (review) and Galaxy J8. Prior to that, the brand also brought the 18.5:9 display to its A-series with the launch of its Galaxy A6 and A6+ (review). Now, if the reports are to be believed, the chaebol is working on the next smartphone with Infinity Display and this time will be a Galaxy On-series handset.

According to the latest report from IANS, the upcoming Galaxy On smartphone is expected to come with Super-AMOLED display technology. Further, the reports suggest that the handset might come with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It is also being rumoured that the upcoming smartphone might be an online-exclusive in India and Samsung is said to be planning a digital campaign before the launch. The reports further state that the brand might launch the upcoming phone in India in the first week of July. The handset is rumoured to come powered by an Exynos chipset.

Notably, the Galaxy J6, J8, A6 and A6+ were the first mid-range smartphones from the brand to come with the taller Infinity Displays. It is being believed that the success of these smartphones in the country has prompted the brand to come up with yet another affordable smartphone with the same. However, at this point, nothing much is known about the upcoming On-series smartphone apart from the aforementioned details.
