Xiaomi Mi Max 3 expected to launch soon as it gets 3C certification
“The Mi Max 3 is expected to be a mid-range phablet with a 6.99-inch full HD+ 18:9 display”
Earlier this year in May, Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun announced that the brand will be introducing its next-gen Mi Max series smartphone at some point in July. Ahead of the launch, we have already seen a number of leaks and reports regarding the device. In February, a leaked firmware file for the handset suggested that it could come with wireless charging and an iris scanner. Now, the purported Mi Max 3 has received the 3C certification in China.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has allegedly received the 3C certification in China under the model name M1807E8S. The listing on the website suggests that the handset could carry support for 5V / 3A, 9V / 2A, and 12V / 1.5A charging. This indicates that the phone might be equipped with support for up to 18W fast charging. Sadly, the certification of the device hasn’t revealed any other specifications.
According to previous leaks, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will sport a 6.99-inch full HD+ display bearing an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone is rumoured to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. The handset is expected to come in multiple RAM and storage configurations – 3GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB.
As per the reports, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 mid-range phablet could feature a dual-camera setup at the rear, as well as a beefy battery, just like its predecessors. However, none of this has been officially confirmed at the moment, so it’s advisable to take the info with a grain of salt.
