ASUS is on a mission to offer impressive smartphones at disruptive pricing and the Zenfone Max Pro M1 (review) came as the first step in this direction. The brand launched the smartphone in a strategic collaboration with the e-commerce giant, Flipkart, earlier this year. Last week, the company introduced an upgraded variant of the ZenFone Max Pro M1 with 6GB of RAM and improved cameras in the country. And now, the new model of the handset is up for grabs on Flipkart. 

The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 comes with a 6-inch full HD+ display bearing an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a 2.5D curved glass on top. Driving the performance of the handset is a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor backed by Adreno 509 graphics. The chipset is further accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage, which can be expanded further up to 2TB using a microSD card. The smartphone boots Android 8.1 Oreo in its stock avatar and offers fingerprint scanner as well as face unlock for security.

In the camera department, the new launch comes with an improved 16-megapixel primary camera backed by a 5-megapixel secondary shooter on the rear panel. The brand has also upgraded the selfie shooter on the new launch, as it is now a 16-megapixel snapper as compared to the 8-megapixel unit on regular variants. For audiophiles, the ZenFone Max Pro M1 offers a 5-magnet speaker with NXP Smart Amplifier and Max-Box Passive Amplifier accessory for 2X audio amplification. A 5,000mAh battery completes the spec sheet of the handset.

The enhanced ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 has been priced competitively at Rs 14,999, and is available in two colour variants – black and grey. The phone’s 3GB and 4GB RAM variants are also in stock on the e-tailer, which cost Rs 10,999 and Rs 12,999 respectively.
