LG launches 25 ThinQ series TVs with artificial intelligence, prices start at Rs 32,500

LG, today, launched in-total 25 new televisions sets in India, all featuring Artificial Intelligence (AI). The range includes several models with a screen size between 32-inch and 77-inch, under its OLED, Super UHD, UHD and Smart TV categories.

The new TVs are branded under the ‘ThinQ’ moniker, which is LG’s official AI focused brand. With AI functionality, LG claims, that its TVs can directly be controlled by speaking into the remote. Meaning consumers can control TV function as well as seamlessly discover and play content using their voice commands.
“These TVs doesn’t only work on fixed voice commands but also understand the intent of the query before providing a search result. The TV not only Listens and Answers but Listens, thinks and Answer. Additionally, there are a set of 800+ commands which works even without internet connection,” LG stated in its press release.
The 2018 LG ThinQ TVs are powered by their latest Alpha 7 and Alpha 9 processor. The chipset enables a faster screen refresh rate, noise reduction, and improved picture quality. Moreover, there is support for 4k cinema HDR, Dolby Atmos cinematic sound, and an option of mobile connection overlay to mirror phone’s screen on TV.

Younchul Park, Director-Home Entertainment, LG Electronics India, said in a statement, “Artificial intelligence is the road ahead for all our future products. AI functionality backed up with extensive research is incorporated in televisions with the aim of delivering a unique and more intuitive experience. We have taken a step ahead to implement AI function across our range of smart televisions. At LG our interest is in improving the user lifestyle and convenience. We are launching 25 models of AI today across all segments.”
The TVs come pre-loaded with webOS interface and a ‘Magic Remote’ to control it. Not to forget, the TV uses nano cell technology with full array dimming back light for deeper blacks and improved shadow details along with wider viewing angles.
The LG ThinQ OLED, Super UHD, UHD and Smart TV categories price starts from Rs 32,500 and goes on till Rs 29,49,990 across sizes.
