Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be priced reasonably, says the company

“The South Korean brand states that its revenue in the second quarter fell due to softer sales of smartphones and screen panels”

Samsung has just released its financial results for the second quarter, which ended on June 30th, 2018. In the report, the South Korean tech giant has announced that its revenue for this period fell because of softer sales of its smartphones and screen panels. The company has also revealed that the next-gen Galaxy Note series offering, the Galaxy Note 9, will be launched at a “reasonable price” tag.

In the financial results, Samsung mentioned that demand for smartphones and tablets is expected to increase in the second half of this year. The competition in the market is intensifying as new smartphone models are being released every other day. To tackle the competition, the company said that it’ll be introducing the Galaxy Note 9 earlier than usual. The brand has also stated that the next-gen Galaxy Note will be released at a “reasonable price” tag. Sadly, the vendor hasn’t revealed anything else regarding the flagship.

According to a recently leaked promotional poster, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9’s 128GB storage variant will be priced at IDR 13,500,000 (~Rs 64,400). It’s worth noting that the Galaxy Note 8 (review) with 64GB of storage was launched in India for Rs 67,900.

Samsung is all set to unveil the Galaxy Note 9 at an event in New York on August 9th. The phone is expected to be released in India on August 19th. We should have more details in a matter of days, so stay tuned to 91mobiles for regular updates.
