Sony Xperia XA2 Plus with 6-inch HD+ display and Snapdragon 630 SoC goes official

“The Xperia XA2 Plus comes as a mid-range offering with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage”

Earlier this year at CES, Sony unveiled its latest XA series smartphones dubbed the Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra. The phones arrived as the Japanese tech giant’s first smartphones to flaunt rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Xperia XA2 Ultra was also introduced as the vendor’s first dual selfie camera-toting smartphone. Now, the company has launched yet another Xperia XA series smartphone in the form of the Xperia XA2 Plus.

The latest Sony offering comes with a layer of Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 on top, which delivers protection against regular wear and tear usage. The phone gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and offers dual-SIM slots, depending on the market. The handset features a 6-inch full HD+ screen, and boots Android Oreo out of the box. The device comes in two RAM and storage configurations – 4GB + 32GB and 6GB + 64GB, which both support microSD cards up to 400GB in size. Powering the handset is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor.

As for the other specs, the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus sports a 23-megapixel primary shooter at the rear with hybrid autofocus, 84-degree wide-angle lens, and an aperture of f/2.0. On the front, you get an 8MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.4. A 3,580mAh battery keeps this 4G-enabled smartphone running.

The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus’ pricing isn’t known at the moment. However, the company has revealed that the handset will go on sale in late August this year in silver, black, gold, and green colour variants.
